Vriesea ‘Astrid’ is a bromeliad known for its bold, upright bloom and elegant foliage. Its sword-shaped inflorescence punctuates any space with tropical character, while the leaf rosette has a structured silhouette that pairs beautifully with clean lines in interiors.

Vriesea ‘Astrid’ prefers bright, indirect light. It tolerates medium light but avoids intense direct sun, which can burn its leaves.

• Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy
• Fill the central cups (well) with water and refresh it regularly
• Drain and flush the cup periodically to avoid stagnation
• Use filtered or rainwater if your tap water is hard
• In lower light or cooler periods, reduce watering frequency

• Moderate grower
• Usually stays under 60 cm tall indoors
• Safe for pets
• Fun fact: Like many bromeliads, it’s part of an epiphytic family and absorbs moisture via its leaves and central cup rather than relying mainly on its roots
