Magnificum doesn’t try to blend in. Its velvety leaves look like they’ve been sketched in chalk. The bold veins turn every leaf into its own piece of artwork, which is why collectors hunt it down. It feels more like a statement object than a filler plant, and it shines when it has a stage to itself especially on a shelf or side table.

 

A few house rules...

Light

This Anthurium likes bright, indirect light. Direct sun will scorch its velvety leaves, but too little light slows growth. A bright room with filtered light is perfect.
Watering

• Keep the soil lightly moist, never waterlogged
• Water once the top couple of centimetres feel dry
• Prefers humidity, so mist often or use a pebble tray
• Use a chunky, well-draining mix with bark and perlite
Important Info

• Slow grower indoors
• Reaches around 45 to 60 cm tall
• Not safe for pets
• Fun fact: In the wild, it grows as an epiphyte, clinging to trees rather than soil
