Named for its leaves that look just like the skin of a watermelon, this peperomia is compact, playful, and easy to live with. Its round striped leaves grow in a neat rosette, making it perfect for desks, shelves, or small tables.

 

A few house rules...

Light

This peperomia prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun will scorch the leaves, while low light makes its watermelon stripes fade. A north or east-facing window is ideal.
Watering

• Water when the top inch of soil is dry
• Give a light soak and let it drain well
• Dislikes sitting in soggy soil
