The Rubber Plant ‘Robusta’ is a design classic. Thick, deep-green leaves give it a bold, sculptural look that immediately anchors a room. It works in both minimal and more eclectic spaces, where its glossy leaves bring a touch of polish. Style it in a simple ceramic pot to let the shape of the plant do all the talking

A few house rules...

This plant thrives in bright, indirect light but also tolerates medium light. A little soft morning sun is fine, but avoid strong afternoon rays. Turn it every so often so it keeps that even, upright shape.

• Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry
• Give a good soak and allow excess to drain away. Never allow it to sit in water
• Water less often during cooler months
• Wipe the leaves now and then to keep them glossy

• Moderate grower indoors
• Can reach 2 to 3 metres tall with time
• Not safe for pets
• Helps improve indoor air quality
• Fun fact: Rubber Plants were once tapped for latex, though not the same kind used in commercial rubber today
