‘Medallion’ is the classic Calathea. Each leaf looks hand-painted, with brush-like strokes of green and silver, and undersides that glow plum in low light. Native to tropical forest floors, it’s made for soft, indirect light and humid air, making it perfect for bedrooms or bathrooms. The leaves gently raise and lower through the day, giving the impression that the plant is breathing with the room.

A few house rules...

Calathea likes medium to bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun will fade its painted stripes. It can tolerate low light but it slows its growth. A spot with steady, filtered light works best.

• Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy
• Use filtered or rainwater if possible, as tap water can mark the leaves
• Loves humidity, so mist often or use a humidifier

• Moderate grower indoors
• Typically reaches 60cm tall
• Pet safe

Delivery is £5.99 and free on orders over £70.

We stand by our plants. If your plant arrives damaged, let us know within twenty four hours with a photo and we will sort a replacement or refund.

All plants come with a 14 day guarantee. If anything happens to your plant despite proper care, we will refund or send out a new one.
