Despite its common name, the Asparagus Fern is not a true fern but rather a member of the lily family, showcasing feathery, needle-like leaves and adding a delicate texture to any indoor garden. This plant enjoys humidity and indirect light, flourishing in a variety of indoor conditions. It's particularly favoured for its fast-growing, airy foliage, which can lend an ethereal quality to any space, evoking a sense of wilderness and freedom indoors.

A few house rules...

Asparagus Fern does best in bright, indirect light but can tolerate medium light. Direct sun will scorch the fine fronds, while too little light makes them sparse.

• Appreciates extra humidity, especially in dry homes

• Moderate grower indoors
• Can reach 60 to 90 cm tall and wide
• Not safe for pets
• In its natural habitat it can scramble up trees like a climber, using its thorns for grip
