Native to the tropical forests of Central America, Monstera deliciosa is loved for its bold, split leaves that can grow impressively large indoors. It brings a sense of lush structure and quiet drama to a room, filling corners with an easy, natural presence. Over time, it develops climbing roots, so it will happily grow up a moss pole or support if given the chance.

 

A few house rules...

Light

Monstera deliciosa thrives in bright, indirect light. A few hours of soft morning sun are fine, but avoid strong midday rays that can burn the leaves. It will also tolerate low light, though new leaves may form with fewer splits.
Watering

Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. Give it a good soak, then let excess water drain away. Monstera prefers consistent moisture but not soggy roots. Wipe the large leaves occasionally to keep them dust free and glossy.
