With glossy, heart-shaped leaves that trail or climb, Philodendron scandens is one of the most versatile indoor plants. It works beautifully as a hanging plant, trained up a moss pole, or simply left to cascade from a shelf. Easy-going and fast growing, it quickly creates a soft, leafy backdrop in any room.

A few house rules...

Light

Philodendron scandens thrives in medium light but is highly adaptable. It will tolerate lower light, though the growth will be slower and the leaves smaller. A spot near a window is ideal as long as the sun is filtered and not too harsh.
Watering

Water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Give it a thorough soak and allow the pot to drain fully. It prefers steady moisture but copes well if you occasionally forget, making it forgiving for busy homes!
Important Info

• Fast grower indoors
• Trails or climbs several metres over time
• Not safe for pets
• Philodendrons get their name from the Greek for “tree-lover,” reflecting their natural habit of climbing up trunks in tropical forests
